A lot of patients believe they won't qualify when reviewing the list of the state qualifying medical conditions. During your appointment, our physicians will ask the appropriate medical questions to obtain your history and to determine the condition/s you may have. Very few patients don't qualify, and if you don't 100% of your money will be refunded.

If you are a Medi Green Patient, your Electronic Physician Certification is generally available within half to one hour after your appointment. The DHSS will be sending an email to patients when a physician certification is received.
If we are preparing and submitting your application, you will be notified. Your application, once submitted, will generally be processed by the DHSS within 1-3 hours to 1-2 wks, but they have up to 30 days to process it.
It will be very useful if you ask your doctor to send us records (via email preferred), but the Missouri Medical Marijuana Program allows physicians/nurse practitioners to obtain your medical history and ask you for information on your medical conditions during your appointment.
A Caregiver is a person chosen by a patient to do all the things a patient can legally do. A Patient's Caregiver can purchase, possess, transport, and cultivate for them.
Caregivers must be at least Twenty-one (21) years of age or older;
responsible for managing the well-being of a qualified patient;
and designated by the qualified patient on the primary caregiver’s application for an identification card. Patients can have 2 caregivers. Caregivers can have six patients.
- Identifying Information, including your name, date of birth, social security number, contact information, and residence/mailing address.
Documentation, including your Physician Certification, a copy of a state-issued photo ID, and a color photo of your face (similar to a Passport photo) . Any valid state- or federally issued photo ID satisfies the state's photo I.D. requirement. No proof of residency is needed.

The DHSS will notify you of your approval through email. Once you receive this email you will need to log back into your DHSS account to download your license. If you need, we can download your license and email it to you.

Licensed Medical Marijuana Patients can purchase up to 6 oz. of dried, processed flower, or its equivalent in oil, tinctures, and edibles every 30 days.
The DHSS allows patients to apply for an "alternative amount" if you have a need for more than the normal allotment. This means you need more because of an exacerbation of your medical conditions, or you have a new condition.
Yes! Patient Cultivation can be added to your license at any time. The state will charge a $50 application fee upon submission. Your cultivation license will allow you to grow 6 plants less than 14 inches tall, 6 plants over 14 inches tall but not in flower, and 6 plants in flower. It also increases the amount of dried processed flower you can possess (at home) to 3 months’ worth, or 18 oz.

No. The information used for your physician certification visit and the DHSS application is protected by HIPAA. Only Law Enforcement verifying if you are a licensed patient through the MULES system, and people you choose to tell, will have access to that information.
Missouri does not have an age limit for a Medical Marijuana Card. Patients under the age of 18 will need parental consent and a parent to act as a caregiver.
